ANDERSON YOUNG BALLET THEATRE ANNOUNCES 2024-2025 BALLET SEASON

Anderson Young Ballet Theatre announced today the upcoming performances for 2024-2025 season, including the annual presentation of The Nutcracker and a spring performance of Alice in Wonderland. Also announced, the pre-professional company and dance academy launched a new website to make ticket purchasing easier and to share more of the historic AYBT story. 

 “We’re excited to announce the upcoming season,” said Cheryl Shank, President, AYBT Board of Directors. “We have a lot of exciting things planned to celebrate the art of dance with our community, all season long. It’s going to be a great year with two of the all-time favorite ballets.”

 Once again, this December, the AYBT pre-professional ballet company will perform the timeless holiday tradition, The Nutcracker. Celebrating the 51st annual presentation of the classic ballet, the performances include evening shows on Friday, Dec. 20 and Saturday, Dec. 21 and a Sunday Matinee show on Dec. 22. AYBT will also host a weekday performance of the ballet for local schools on Thursday, Dec. 19. 

 This upcoming Spring (2025), AYBT will present Alice in Wonderland on March 1 and 2. Last performed by the pre-professional company in 2020, audiences will delight in a journey to Wonderland as the stage spins into a whirl of colors, fantastical characters, and the art of ballet. 

 Both ballets are to be performed at the historic Anderson Paramount Theatre.

 “The Nutcracker is a classic and we’ve been honored to perform it for our community for more than 50 years,” said Jennifer Thiemet, AYBT Artistic Director. “And, with our company of extremely talented dancers, Alice in Wonderland is going to be a beautiful and fun experience the audience.”

 The launch of a brand-new website for the pre-professional ballet company and dance academy makes it easier than ever to purchase tickets, sign-up for dance classes, join the newsletter, and follow the historic AYBT story. 

 Tickets for the 2024-2025 AYBT season are now on sale. Fans are encouraged to purchase early bird tickets for both The Nutcracker and Alice in Wonderland performances at a ten percent discounted rate today through October 4. Individual ticket prices remain the same for this season at $15 and $20 in advance, with day-of tickets available for $20 and $25. Tickets can be purchased through AndersonYoungBallet.org.
